Since I was a kid staying in hotels has always been a magical experience for me. To me picking the right hotel is crucial for any holiday or business stay. I generally spend a lot of time researching my hotels before booking. Friends, family and colleagues often ask me for tips and I am happy to help. A friend suggested that I share my experiences on a blog. So, I took the jump and started this little blog.
I am not part of the lucky 1%, so you won’t read reviews of USD 2,000 a night resorts here, although I would love to visit one 🙂 Anyway, if you are looking for that, just google for amanjunkie… I love luxury, don’t get me wrong, but I like to keep it affordable, because I have to 🙂
I am not a “points” expert either. I am in awe of these people who magically create points and miles out of nothing and travel the world like kings, but unfortunately I don’t live in the credit card Walhalla named USA and frankly I wouldn’t have the discipline to keep track of all the cards and points. So, don’t expect to see a lot of Marriot, Hyats, Hiltons and the like. Anyway, these are rarely the coolest hotels.
Finally, I will try to include a lot of pictures, but I don’t walk around with a camera all the time – I am working on overcoming the embarrassment of being that guy who is taking pictures of every breakfast item 😉
My goal is to add a review on a weekly basis, so hope you enjoy the reading!
